Master’s Symposium on Advances in Data Mining, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision

This Masters Symposium is organized as an open forum for Computer Science M.Sci (or Ph.D.) students and their supervisors. Therefore, this Call for Papers is open. The topical focus of the Symposium is within the Data Science and Machine Learning landscape. In particular, it solicits contributions dealing with novel techniques, technologies, methodologies, based on the synergies in Data and Knowledge Mining, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Augmented Reality.

The Symposium is seen as a venue giving a good chance for young researchers and practitioners, both from academia and industry, to present and receive feedback on their M.Sci or Ph.D. projects at an early stage. Therefore, short papers presenting master thesis proposals are solicited by the event as its major submission type. The event is also open to considering industrial experience reports, surveys, or review papers. Our vision of this Masters Symposium is to bring together students and supervisors to provide an expert environment for the presentation of ideas and early results of master projects or other research aiming at receiving an M.Sci or Ph.D. degree.

Young researchers, who will join us to take part in discussions and/or present their papers, will be offered an opportunity to exchange and discuss their research ideas with their peers, supervisors, and senior scientists working in the fields that are within the scope of the Symposium.
